You will learn how to connect your movements to your breath and calm your mind with the help of the horse's empathetic and gentle presence. You don't need to know anything about yoga, mindfulness, nature, or horses before beginning this activity. You will be in an inclusive, judgement-free environment that is perfect for learning! Welcome to your gentle, mindful exercise reset during your busy travel experience! We invite you to join us for a horse-assisted, walking yoga class! Each of our participants will have a chance to walk on our trails with our equine spirit guide, flow through at least one horse-assisted pose, share mindful breathing with the horse while watching the light filtering through our lightly wooded trail system. Studies show that a horse's heart is so big it produces a magnetic field that has a healing, regenerative effect, and just standing near a horse puts us in range of that field, promoting a sense of wellbeing. Our class begins with a mindful shared breathing exercise with the horse where we will set our intentions to relax and restore. The class is designed to keep your muscles warm by walking with the horse from setting to setting for each restorative yoga pose. There will be plenty of opportunity to pet and interact with the horses. There won't be riding. We recommend that you come prepared for all types of weather, possible bugs, noise from our bustling town, and uneven ground as we navigate our gently rolling trails.
