Having become essential since its transformation in the 2000s, the Wynwood district is the favorite playground of Street artists from all over the world. The principle is simple: make this formerly disreputable neighborhood an open-air museum where all creativity will have the right to express itself without constraints. The neighborhood has become super trendy. There are now a number of trendy galleries, bars and restaurants. A truly unique atmosphere and a must-visit during a stay in Miami. Wynwood Walls, the iconic open-air museum that has become a must-see destination, has brought together since its creation in 2009 more than 50 artists representing 16 countries and covering more than 8,000 square meters of walls. But not only that’ Wynwood Outside the Walls, all the frescoes painted or drawn on commercial buildings etc’ The art galleries there are numerous and varied. Contemporary art is, of course, in the spotlight.
We will first study the different forms of Street Art present in Wynwood. Indeed, murals are a way for artists to deliver their messages, often with political or social connotations.
