Step back in time to 1943 and spend a day in the life of an aviation cadet in this full day experience. You will receive your orders to report for duty, go through ground training and flight training, consisting of 2 hours of flight instruction in our 1943 Fairchild PT-19, over 3 separate flights. Lunch is served in a "mess kit, just like it was back in '43. The day ends with graduation-earning your wings (WWII Replica Pilot Wings; WASP version for the ladies), followed by a debrief in the officers club with drinks and snack.
Experience the life of a WWII Aviation Cadet in this day long immersion experience. Your day begins with check in and flight gear issue(loaned). You will have both ground and flight instruction as your instructor guides you through your first day as a WWII Aviation cadet. This is an "immersion" experience designed to be realistic in how the cadets were treated upon arriving for the first day of training. You decide how realistic you'd like your experience to be in terms of how your Captain will relate to you.
The experience includes a total of 2 flight hours in the PT-19 broken up into 3 training flights, about 3.5 hours total of classroom/ground instruction; instructor time and training videos, lunch served in a "mess kit". The day ends with graduation-earning your wings (WWII Replica Pilot Wings; WASP version for the ladies), followed by a debrief in the officers club with drinks and snack.
Includes your choice of a BCW Baseball Cap or T-shirt to keep.
