Door County, an 80-mile peninsula jutting out into Lake Michigan, comes rife with wildlife-rich wetlands to kayak and explore. On this guided tour, you’ll explore one of the best spots: Logan Creek State Natural Area. A gentle float on calm waters, you’ll travel through the northern wet-mesic forest looking for bald eagles, vireos, flycatchers, foxes, and more.

Logan Creek State Natural Area



After launching guests will meander for a mile down Logan Creek before emptying into Clark Lake. Once there Clark Lake offers hiking, swimming and beach options. Relax and enjoy this designated Outstanding Water Resource that supports endangered species, some of which are endemic to Door County.Logan Creek features a northern wet-mesic forest dominated by white cedar and black ash. Canopy associates include yellow birch, balsam fir, hemlock, and white pine. Logan Creek supports an abundance of wildlife including the turtles, porcupines, white tail deer, skunks, foxes, coyotes, bald eagle, ovenbird, red-eyed vireo, black-throated green warbler, eastern wood-pewee, great crested flycatcher, rose-breasted grosbeak, and hermit thrush.
