Embark on a 5-6 hour journey through Oregon's Willamette National Forest, discovering Sahalie Falls, Koosah Falls, and Proxy Falls. This self-guided hike showcases nature's wonders’crystal-clear waters, moss-covered rocks, and towering Evergreens. Proxy Falls, a hidden gem, features a 1.6 mile loop trail through ancient lava flows and lush landscapes. Our expert guides will do all of the driving while providing insights into geology and wildlife, ensuring an unforgettable adventure for all.
This self guided hiking tour will start at Sahalie Falls- one of Oregon’s most picturesque waterfalls, cascading over 100 feet. From there you will hike though lush old growth forest alongside the crystal blue water of the McKenzie River. Following the easy trail about half a mile down you will get to it’s sister waterfall- Koosah. There is an observation deck over looking the falls where you will be able to take pictures. At the end of this trail your driver will meet you in the parking and you will continue onto Proxy Falls.

A 45 minute drive from Sahalie and Koosah falls up the historic Hwy 242 is where we begin the guided hike at the dazzling Proxy Falls. This is a 1.25 mile hike through the Three Sisters Wilderness. This easy hike but there are small portions through Lava Rock than can be considered moderate. There is a small scramble over a few logs to get you directly into the falls where you can take in this unique 200ft waterfall cascading over lush mossy rock. After taking the time the enjoy the lower falls we will continue up to the bonus attraction of upper proxy falls. This Houdini waterfall is sure to amaze you with it’s disappearing act into the many underground springs below
