Overview

Have your portrait made by an expert photographic artist and photo historian! Learn all about the history of photography and how images were made over 170 years ago! I use an antique handmade process from 1851 and antique cameras to craft you a portrait to mark your trip here to California. Watch as I make the photograph using chemistry and antique cameras that way your great grandparents had their portrait made. Take home your unique photo and family heirloom that will outlast the next generation of your family!

  • Easily find your guide and group on Pinellas Ave
  • Weave through the mangroves learning all about the ecosystem from your guide
  • Wear provided life jackets to keep you safe and secure
  • Make a few new friends on this small, intimate group tour (max 10)

What To Expect

Arrive at the Studio, Learn about the Historic Cameras and Process I use, and then have your portrait made the old fashioned way on metal using the same process used during the civil war. Step into my darkroom with me and watch the process of making a historic photograph from start to finish!
