You will glide through our fabulous French Quarter, founded in 1718. You will admire historic St. Louis Cathedral, named after King Louis IX, who was truly a Saint. He led the seventh and eighth Crusades back in the 13th century. Across the way from the Cathedral is beautiful Jackson Square. If you are interested, the 1850 House on the Square has a nice selection of cookbooks and history books. Regarding the diverse architecture, there is no other place in the country like it.
