Dotted with lighthouses and old wooden, shiplap homes, Cape Ann is one of the most picture-perfect experiences of the Northeast. On your private day trip, you will have the chance to explore several of the historic fishing towns and learn about the way the fishing industry shaped the history of the nation. Visit Gloucester ‘known for its commercial fishing industry, and visit Manchester-by-the-Sea for a quieter pace, made famous by the eponymous film. Hear about the formation of the US Navy in Marblehead, and visit Salem, where you’ll have the chance to explore one of the town’s many museums devoted to the Salem Witch Trials. At the end of the day, your guide will drive you back to Boston, where you can arrange to be dropped back off at your hotel or at somewhere central in the city.
