Catch views of the sunset on this evening paddleboarding excursion in Rehoboth Bay. Great for beginners, the tour explores the calm waters of the bay. Before setting out, your guide will offer instruction, and all gear and equipment is provided. Participants must be at least 8 years old and be able to swim.
Guests will receive a paddle boarding lesson, safety equipment, and a safety briefing before heading out with a guide on the Rehoboth Bay for a Sunset Paddle Boarding Experience. You may see herons, waterfront houses, marinas, waterfront restaurants / bars with live music, a hotel or two, osprey, fiddler crabs, an occasional dolphin, eel or turtle. Along the marsh, you may see mussels with crabs nibbling about. There is not a lot of motorized traffic along the north end of the bay, which is where we suggest you paddle. You will also see Thompson Island (really a peninsula). This is a protected area that has ancient burial grounds – Nanticoke Tribe, American Indians. Please do not land or walk around on this property as you could get a citation from a park ranger. This venue is waist to chest deep in most areas. Some areas have a sandy bottom, some areas have a mushy/mucky bottom.
