No need to bundle up in the snow to experience dog sledding—on this private tour, you’ll zip through the Alaskan forest on a two-person dog sled, exploring private trails the pups use for their Iditarod training. Afterward, interact with the champion dogs, ask questions, snack on cookies, take in the view of Denali, and learn all about this timeless Alaskan tradition. (It’s the official Alaska state sport!)
The most intimate summer dog sledding experience in Alaska! We're a family operation and that includes our team of dogs that enjoy meeting guests just as much as we do! From the moment you arrive, you'll be greeted by a yard full of excited, happy dogs. You'll get to know your guide and meet the dog team. Our dogs are very friendly and love to give kisses!
Watch their energy level skyrocket as we get the team ready to go, then hit our private trails for an approximately 1-2 mile ride, depending on weather conditions. We use carts specially designed to simulate a sled on dry land. They are 100% dog-powered so you can take in all of the natural sounds around you! Each cart seats just two people for a truly authentic and intimate experience.
After your ride, we'll head on a nature walk to our hand-carved, wooden pavilion with a Denali view for a hands-on presentation of the gear we use to train in the wintertime. We'll bring a few dogs with us too!
Check out our Iditarod race sled, try stepping onto the runners and into the shoes of an Alaskan musher. We love sharing tales from the trails and will happily answer all of your questions!
