Learn to SUP, or stand-up paddleboard, in Santa Barbara during a 1.5-hour lesson at Leadbetter Beach. No matter your skill level, you’ll learn to stand up and kneel down, balance and paddle as you’re accompanied onto the water. A wetsuit is provided for this all-weather outdoor activity that gives you a glimpse of marine life and the Santa Barbara coastline. Your lesson is limited to 18 people to ensure more personalized attention from the expert instructor.
Paddleboard Santa Barbara, making your way to Leadbetter Beach at the selected time. Meet your paddleboard instructor here near Shoreline Park, then slip on your provided wetsuit and carry your paddleboard to the sandy shore for your 1.5-hour stand-up paddleboard (SUP) lesson.
If you’re a beginner, you’ll learn to pop up on your board and practice proper paddling techniques before you head out onto the water. Your instructor tailors the lesson for more experienced paddlers, ensuring a great experience for all.
Paddle along at your own pace over calm waters in Santa Barbara Harbor and follow the shoreline while your guide accompanies the group and offers tips for balancing and turning the stable and sturdy paddleboard.
Keep an eye out for seals and possibly dolphins that swim past as you soak up the scenery of the Santa Barbara coastline.
If you’re up for the challenge, your guide can take you to the surf break for some extra fun and exercise before you return to shore.
