Take a break from lazing on the beach with a stand-up paddleboard lesson just outside Waikiki. A great way to get a little exercise during your Oahu vacation, SUP is easy to learn and provides a fun way to get out on the water with friends or family. You’ll enjoy personalized attention from an experienced professional as you work on your skills in a team setting. Use of high-quality boards, reef shoes and rash guards is included. Both first-timers and experienced paddleboarders are welcome.

What To Expect

Jump on the Surf School Bus and we will get you from wherever you're staying in Waikiki to the beach and up and riding! We offer a complimentary courtesy shuttle. Our knowledgeable staff will meet you at one of our convenient hotel pick-up locations. You’ll be stoked to ride in our air-conditioned, clean, easy-to-spot yellow Surf School Bus or white shuttle with our logo on the side. After our friendly staff introduce themselves, we will shuttle you to our Ohana Surf Center located in the Waikiki Beach Marriott. From there you will get checked-in, geared up and then will be shuttled to the beach for some stand-up paddle boarding!

Once by the ocean, you will meet your instructor and talk about your previous experience, swimming strength or any other concerns or conditions, then we’ll have you walk your high quality lesson boards to the beach. When you’re comfortable and ready, we leash ourselves to the board and into the water we go!

After the lesson, you’ll be taken back to the Ohana Surf Center where you can check out photographs, videos, or buy some merch for yourself or friends. Then after your purchases are made, we drive you back to one of our convenient drop off locations.
