Spend a full day exploring Southern Arizona on this guided tour from Phoenix. The sites you’ll see have been preserved for hundreds of years. There is plenty of history to hear about from your guide when you’re visiting Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, Picacho Peak State Park, San Xavier Del Bac Mission in Tucson, and Tumacacori National Historic Park. This is all organized for you, and lunch is also included.
This is a preserved group of Hohokam structures dating to the Classic Period (1150-1450). Casa Grande is Spanish for big house. Casa Grande was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on Oct 15, 1966. Father Kino was the first European to view the Hohokam complex in November 1694 & named it Casa Grande.

We will stop here for photos and to see this towering point in the desert between Phoenix and Tucson. This was the location of the farthest west battle of the civil war known as the Battle of Picacho Pass.

This famous church has a long history and its ornate architecture is a must see. This church sits just south of Tucson. You can spend a short time inside based on current restrictions. The Mission was created to serve the needs of the local community, the village of Wa:k (San Xavier District) on the Tohono O’odham reservation, as it still does today. There is also a small giftshop here.

This Mission dates back to the 1700s & is quite relaxing to walk the grounds exploring within the walls. The Tumacácori mission complex was originally protected as Tumacácori National Monument, in 1908 by President Teddy Roosevelt. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1966. You can spend time walking the grounds and exploring inside the walls of the mission.
