At our floating base camp, you’ll receive instruction on the safe use of ocean-going, two-person kayaks. These stable yet maneuverable crafts let you enjoy the beauty of the protected bays and inlets near Sitka from a serene, natural perspective.

An experienced guide, well versed in paddling techniques and the marine environment of the area, will lead groups of up to six kayaks. Each of the waterways traveled holds unique attractions, whether colorful intertidal invertebrates, an eagle swooping from the treetops, or the grandeur of the lush rainforest. You may even see a brown bear, harbor seals, or a Sitka black-tailed deer.
