Explore Red Rock Canyon on a stylish Can-Am Ryker—a 3-wheeled motorcycle with a low center of gravity. On this self-guided tour, head out from the Red Rock Canyon Overlook without the constraints of a group or guide. Continue past the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign and the Seven Magic Mountains—a large-scale public art installation near Jean Dry Lake. Travelers can also enter the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area at their own expense.
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area lies in Nevada’s Mojave Desert. It’s known for geological features such as towering red sandstone peaks and the Keystone Thrust Fault, as well as Native American petroglyphs. The sheltered Ice Box Canyon has seasonal waterfalls. To the south, Spring Mountain Ranch State Park features historic buildings and hiking trails. There’s a scenic road with a toll booth if you want to travel that way, or you can stay on the main road and avoid the toll and still see the canyon’s beauty. We would suggest ending the loop at Cottonwood Station for a quick bite to eat.
