Maximize your wildlife-spotting opportunities by getting off the road and onto the water on this 13-mile (21-kilometer) float trip down Jackson’s serene yet dazzling Snake River. Look out for bald eagles, beavers, river otters, and maybe even moose and elk against a backdrop of the snow-capped Tetons, with a guide to introduce the area’s ecology and geology too. Blankets are provided for cooler days and times.
Cruise through the Snake River Range and the Gros Ventre Range in a comfortable, secure ride. The Tetons and Snake River views along the way are magnificent, so bring your camera—you may spot a moose wading in a back eddy or an osprey diving in the river beneath the snow-capped Tetons. The 13-Mile Scenic Float is a section that is west of the town of Jackson, nestled between the Grand Teton National Park and the Bridger Teton National Forest. Opportunities to spot an osprey diving in the river for a cutthroat trout are abound with the snow capped Tetons as your backdrop.
