Seattle is a beautiful place to explore , and on this four-hour Seattle city walking tour, we’ll hit all the highlights that will give you the full Emerald City experience! We’ll start our tour aptly at the place where the city first truly got its start as a pioneer settlement. Brick buildings and paver-laid streets add a historic charm to Pioneer Square, where we’ll trace not only paths of Seattle’s founders but its original native inhabitants as well. Your tour guide will point out some worthwhile attractions, eateries, and bars to explore following your tour, including historic Smith Tower. A short walk north along the waterfront will bring us to Seattle’s most popular attraction, Pike Place Market. Here, your tour guide will help you navigate the multi-tiered marketplace and lead you to the best local artist stalls and eateries. Grab some creamy chowder or a fresh brewed cup of coffee as we pass by the notorious Gum Wall, see the oldest Starbucks, and wait for fish to fly!
Community Impact:
-Our tours are designed with our communities first in mind, meaning that we will always encourage supporting our local businesses, such as independent coffee shops and owner-operated stalls at Pike Place Market
-By taking advantage of outdoor attractions and some areas not typically visited by large groups in neighborhoods like historic Pioneer Square, we can reduce overcrowding in over-touristed areas
-Your choosing a walking tour helps us to reduce our carbon footprint and impact on the environment, with an additional opportunity to support our public transit sector
-We strive to represent all voices in our storytelling, particularly those minorities who are often overlooked or underrepresented in the tourism industry, including but not limited to indigenous history and Asian influence on neighborhoods like Pioneer Square, the waterfront and Pike Place, and downtown Seattle

Your tour starts in the neighborhood known as Pioneer Square, where early white settlers founded the city of Seattle as we know it today. The area is rich with history of the city’s early mining and brothel days, evident in the late 19th and early 20th century buildings still standing, and contains subtle nods to its early inhabitants, the Duwamish and Suquamish peoples. Your tour guide will take you through the development of the city and capture the city in its pre-industrial and -settlement days as a Native American village and harvesting grounds.
