The Firehole River is well known for fishing, nearby hiking trails, the stunning Firehole Falls, and a fantastic swimming area. Here guests will have the opportunity to see and photograph the Firehole Falls. Firehole Falls is a 40-foot waterfall amidst 800-foot thick lava flows forming the canyon walls.

Yellowstone’s star attraction, and the most famous geyser in the world, Old Faithful is the most regular predictable geyser in the Park, with eruptions occurring approximately every 91 minutes. The Hayden Valley area occupies about 50 square miles of the valley floor, which is an ancient lake bed from a time when Yellowstone Lake was much larger. One of the best places to catch a glimpse of Yellowstone’s fascinating wildlife is Hayden Valley. This lush valley north of Yellowstone Lake is a highly visited gathering place for bison, elk, coyotes and grizzly bears.
