Overview

Custer State Park is one of the country’s best state parks, partly thanks to the fantastic wildlife here. But you can't experience its best views from your car: With this open-air Jeep tour, you’ll share the breezes with creatures like buffalo and pronghorn—from a safe distance, of course. You’ll also hit the trails with your guide, discovering some of South Dakota’s most beautiful terrain.

  • Go on a Jeep safari, getting off Custer’s busy main roads and into nature
  • Your guide ensures you spot Custer’s wildlife, from bison to prairie dogs
  • Hit a trail that suits your group, discovering more off-grid adventure
  • Hassle-free round-trip transfers from your Rapid City lodging

What To Expect

We will leave Rapid City at 8:30 am and travel to beautiful Custer State Park. Once there, you will take an open-air jeep into the park and get up close and personal with roaming buffalo and other wildlife. Lunch will be enjoyed at an exquisite local restaurant of your choosing. For the remainder of the afternoon, you can hike some of the most beautiful and rare trails in Custer State Park.
