What To Expect

Beginners are strongly encouraged to practice scuba in the confined environment of a pool with the support of an experienced instructor. On the morning of your class, we will meet at the Aston Kaanapali Shores resort pool at 9 a.m. to process the required paperwork before completing a short briefing for about 30 minutes. Afterward, we will practice basic scuba diving skills in a pool. The whole process, depending on the size of the group and student performance, will last for about one hour. Those who wish to extend their course to include an ocean dive may upgrade for a discounted price, depending upon the student's readiness to begin diving and the ocean conditions. The ocean dive will be either at noon or later in the afternoon, according to the ocean, weather conditions that day and the student readiness .
