This adrenaline-pumping tour combines mountain biking and packrafting for a full day of outdoor adventure. First, ride down on an old mining road, losing more than 1,000 feet (305 meters) in elevation. At the bank of the Green River, inflate your packraft, strap on your bike, and float down an especially scenic section of Labyrinth Canyon. Back on land, bike another three miles to wrap up the day.
Arrive at Desert Highlights in the morning (pick up from hotel or vacation rental can be pre-arranged) where we'll outfit you with a mountain bike and packraft – a small boat that we strap to the front of your bike and will be used to float one of the most scenic sections of the Green River near Moab. We'll drive west from town for about 45 minutes and get dropped off with all of our gear. On our mountain bikes, we'll descend an old mining road and lose over 1,000 feet of elevation along the way. Once at the banks of the Green River, we'll inflate our boats and strap our bikes to the front. From here, you can sit back and enjoy an incredibly scenic, flat-water float through Labyrinth Canyon. We'll stop at an old inscription from one of the first explorers of this area, then hop on our bikes for the final (3 mile) leg of this unique multi-sport adventure.
This multi-sport tour is an excellent way to visit a remote section of the Green River, just outside of Canyonlands National Park. We are extremely passionate about our backyard and you'll gain knowledge and respect for our desert environment while out on your Moab multi-sport adventure with Desert Highlights!
