Bison, Antelope, Coyote and perhaps being the most important bird migration center in the Western Hemisphere you can see hundreds of thousands of migratory birds along the Great Salt Lake. With your Native American Guide learn about nature, wildlife, and both history and modern culture of the Native Americans in Utah. Your trip will hold a deeper meaning and connection with the earth. Not only knowledge of the flora and fauna but deeper meaning to the land with stories and history that runs back thousands of years. Antelope Island State Park
At 10am we embark to Antelope Island nestled in the Great Salt Lake. After 45 minutes of driving we view up to 200,000 Migratory Birds, Bison and Antelope. The first day is a 5 mile trek to the backcountry camping spot. Backpacking Lunch and snacks are provided, huge vast landscapes, wildlife and beauty. The night is spent under the stars as Antelope Island is a considered a Bronze Star Dark Sky National Park.

Antelope Island State Park
Day 2 is trekking the Mars like landscape in the backcountry of Antelope Island. With the backdrop of The Great Salt and a vista that doesn’t contain people for 200 miles. This little known place is virtually non existent from people. The hike is 7 miles of easy/moderate terrain. There is no time limit and the primary purpose is hiking the island. You’ll get back to the van by about 3pm.
