Departing from Anchorage, enjoy the scenic journey to Palmer, as you learn about the rich history of Anchorage and the Matanuska Colony project. First stop will be at the Musk Ox farm. On this guided tour, you will learn all about these majestic animals, as you tour the pastors that over seventy Musk Ox call home. Next, head to downtown Palmer to explore this quaint town on your own. After, we will head to the Reindeer farm. There, you will be able to get up and close and possibly hand-feed the wide variety of Alaskan animals they have. Afterwards we will head back to Anchorage.
Departing from Anchorage you will learn how the city grew from a tent city along Ship Creek to be the largest city in Alaska.

The Non-profit farm is dedicated to the once-endangered Ice Age Mammal. On your guided tour, you will learn all about these majestic animals, as you tour the pastors that over seventy Musk Ox call home. Before leaving visit the gift shop to see the products made from Qiviut the underfur of the Musk Ox which is the finest wool in the world.

You will have time on your own to explore the town of Palmer. Explore and learn the history of the town and how it was shaped by the New Deal in an attempt to bring farming to Alaska. Enjoy a meal made with local meats and vegetables or shop for locally made products.

At the farm you will be able to feed, pet, and interact with a wide variety of Alaskan Animals. The farm is home to Reindeer, Moose, Alpacas, Yak, Bison, and more.
