The Kona Coast is one of the most popular spots in Hawaii to see manta rays in their natural habitat. With this tour, set sail after dark, when the manta rays are most active. Hop onto a lightboard and watch as the manta rays come out to feed on plankton attracted to the boards, then head into the warm waters to swim and snorkel. Your guide will provide full instruction on how to safely swim and snorkel without disturbing the rays.
This small-group tour starts at the Honokohau Small Boat Harbor, where a guide meets you and the rest of your group to escort you to a small boat. Set sail after dark, when manta rays are known for being most active, and benefit from traveling in a small group, capped at six people to ensure excellent access to your guide.
After heading out into the water, you can hop onto a lightboard and watch the manta rays feeding on the plankton that gravitates towards the boards.
Guide instruction ensures you have expert guidance on how to safely swim and snorkel without disturbing marine life, and snorkeling gear is provided for extra convenience.
During the trip, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are included to keep you energized, then the trip ends with a peaceful boat ride back to the harbor.
