In this tour of Portland’s verdant parks, nature's artistry and human innovation create a symphony of color and life. First, we’ll visit the grounds of Pittock Mansion, featuring dogwoods, hydrangeas, rhododendrons, lilacs, magnolias, and roses. We’ll take in the view of Mt. Hood and the city of Portland below. Then we’ll visit the picturesque International Rose Test Garden, where thousands of blooms sway Summer through Fall. Next, we’ll visit the serene Japanese Garden nearby, touted ‘the most authentic Japanese Garden outside of Japan.’ There you'll explore 12 acres of eight distinct garden types and a tea house. Finally, we’ll visit an innovative urban park and sustainable green spaces that showcase Portland's commitment to ecological preservation and green living. Tour itinerary is subject to change as real world conditions change, such as weather, closures, and unforeseeable traffic conditions. In this event, we will do our best to provide an equivalent tour experience.
