You may not realize it, but you can enjoy the charming old growth forests of the Pacific Northwest without even leaving Seattle. Explore one of the city's verdant wooded landscapes with this outing to Seward Park where you can stroll along walking paths, and take in the natural beauty. Along the way, you see the shores of Lake Washington, recharge with an included locally-roasted coffee, and even spot towering Mt. Rainier in the distance.
This is my favorite viewpoint in the city! From here you can see what makes Seattle such a vibrant city: the Port of Seattle, the Olympic Mountains, Elliott Bay and the downtown core. Perfect spot for your Instagram photos! From here we will travel through some great neighborhoods on our way to the Lake.

We will take a ride through this incredible park where will will have incredible views of Mt. Rainier (if the mountain is out!) then walk the trail through the old growth forest, one of only 2 stands left in the city! The trail is mostly flat and in the summer is “flip-flop accessible”. We will see what is believed to be the biggest and oldest tree in Seattle and learn why it has survived.
