Overview

You may not realize it, but you can enjoy the charming old growth forests of the Pacific Northwest without even leaving Seattle. Explore one of the city's verdant wooded landscapes with this outing to Seward Park where you can stroll along walking paths, and take in the natural beauty. Along the way, you see the shores of Lake Washington, recharge with an included locally-roasted coffee, and even spot towering Mt. Rainier in the distance.

  • Admire Seattle’s old growth forest on this nature outing to Seward Park
  • Marvel at views of Elliott Bay, stroll on Alki Beach, and visit Lincoln Park
  • Avoid crowded tours with this intimate experience, with just four travelers
  • Meet in the centrally-located Pioneer Square area, near King Street Station

What To Expect

Expand All

Dr. Jose Rizal Park

This is my favorite viewpoint in the city! From here you can see what makes Seattle such a vibrant city: the Port of Seattle, the Olympic Mountains, Elliott Bay and the downtown core. Perfect spot for your Instagram photos! From here we will travel through some great neighborhoods on our way to the Lake.

Lake Washington

We will cruise the shores of Lake Washington and learn about the incredible history of how we “re-plumbed” the lake and what lies beneath the surface.

Seward Park

We will take a ride through this incredible park where will will have incredible views of Mt. Rainier (if the mountain is out!) then walk the trail through the old growth forest, one of only 2 stands left in the city! The trail is mostly flat and in the summer is “flip-flop accessible”. We will see what is believed to be the biggest and oldest tree in Seattle and learn why it has survived.

Columbia City Theater

We will walk through this lovely, historic neighborhood that most travelers never see! We will get some amazing coffee and finish with some fantastic ice cream! (We are not going to the theater, that’s the only “attraction” in the database in the area. 🙂
