This full-day guided excursion takes you to 10 of Kauai’s gorgeous spots by air-conditioned vehicle, ideal for a shore excursion. Drive through the south and west sides of the island, taking in a mix of scenic views and an opportunity to try and buy local products. Your guide will describe the legends and stories of the places you stop by, including 800-foot (244-meter) Waipoo Falls, the powerful Spouting Horn, Hanapepe town, and Kauai Coffee Company.
A drive through the beautiful tunnel of trees will lead us to our first stop at the famous Spouting Horn, an extinct lava tube that became a water geyser. Marvel at the power of nature as the waves crash on the shore and water rushes through the tube. Your guide will share the legend of the site, sound effects and all.

Before heading to the charming and historic town of Hanapepe, we will make a brief stop at this lookout to enjoy the scenic vistas of this verdant valley.

Next in our agenda is a visit to the historic and charming plantation town of Hanapepe. It’s time for a morning snack at Midnight Bear Bakery, where you can enjoy delicious and fresh made pastries with an island twist. In this town you will have an opportunity to support many of the small local businesses boasting Hawaii made souvenirs, artwork and spices. Last but not least, take a walk across the famous swinging bridge built in 1911, if you dare!

Waimea Canyon State Park is one of Kauai’s gems, known as the mini Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Here we will make 4 stops, including the main lookout at 3400 feet elevation. You will see the Canyon from various angles and also the Forbidden island of Niihau from afar. Many stories will be shared and fabulous pictures taken. This is the highlight of the tour!

Around 12-1pm we will head to the beautiful grounds of the Waimea Plantation Cottages built in the early 1900’s during the sugar plantation days. Overlooking at the blue Pacific Ocean and many tropical trees, we will enjoy delicious lunch at famous Chicken in a Barrel. Have a beer while you are at it! they have a beer wall with over 10 selections or a cocktail; after all you are not driving. We will take a leisure stroll through the property to visit Waimea Bay, one of our few black sand beaches, and Captain Cook’s first landing place in Hawaii.

Our adventure begins with a worthwhile visit to Kauai Coffee Co., the largest coffee orchard in the US. At their visitor center you can sample various roast for free, take a stroll through part of their orchard, learn all about the process from seed to cup, and purchase some of your favorite beans. If you dont like coffee we got your back, have an ice cream or a locally made popsicle at their snack shop.
