Old Sacramento is a National Historic Landmark and State Historic Park that takes you back to the Gold Rush Era. Cobbled stoned streets, wooden sidewalks and historic buildings make up this cute, family oriented district with lots of shops and eateries. It is home the California State Railroad Museum and the Sacramento History Museum and it is within walking distance of the State Capital and the Crocker Art Museum.
