Welcome to "Under The Sea " A Hawaiian Reef Spearfishing Lesson for Beginners. In this experience you will Swim with turtles, Learn the native Hawaiian Reef Fish Species, and Experience Hawaii's Largest Barrier Reef. We will also do a Naupaka Cleansing Ceremony, a tradition passed down through generations. You will learn the art form of Hawaiian Sling 3 Prong spearfishing, and why it is one of the most challenging type of spearfishing there is.

What To Expect

In this lesson we will conduct Shallow Water – Hawaiian Reef Spearfishing, Cultural education, and Exhilarating Techniques to catch dinner, and provide for your Ohana (Family).

You will also learn how to Identify Hawaiian Endemic Reef Fish, What to catch, and what not to.

Meeting Location will be at Anini Place. (Location Instructions will be sent to you after booking)

Once united we will promptly begin with a 30 minute safety & educational briefing, on then take a restroom break. After that we will walk to our entry point and partake in a Naupaka Cleansing Ceremony. (A Hawaiian tradition passed down through generations.)

Next we will start our 90 minute dive, and experience Hawaii’s Largest Barrier Reef.

If we're LUCKY we will come home with exciting stories, unforgettable memories, and some dinner for the family.

Please Note*** If you book an experience during the winter season, which runs from November to February, please be aware that there is a chance it may be cancelled or cut short due to high surf or strong currents at Anini Beach, depending on the day.
