Today you will be picked up from your hot3el and proceed to visit the Pearl Harbor.
Pearl Harbor is well-known for the historic attack that took place there on December 7, 1941, when Japanese forces unexpectedly attacked the U.S. Pacific Fleet, sparking the country’s entry into World War II. In the wake of the attack, the harbor was severely damaged, over 2,400 American lives were lost, and multiple battleships were destroyed. This incident paved the way for America to fully enter the conflict and ultimately contribute significantly to the triumph of the Allies. The USS Arizona Memorial honors the tragic day with a somber memory, and Pearl Harbor is still a prominent historical landmark in Hawaii.
We will have some time to watch an informative movie and later the navy ferry boat to the USS Arizona Memorial depending on ticket availability. This memorial is built on the half-sunken battleship.
