Get to know the secrets of millipedes, salamanders, fish, insects, trees, and edible and medicinal plants with eye-level, hands-on introductions. This is a great way for kids and adults alike to bring science lessons alive in a very real and meaningful way.
You will experience a personalized guided hike with a career educator to a beautiful waterfall with the option to wade and swim. Lunch is provided at no extra charge. Fishing poles and tackle are available if you want to try your luck with the local trout and sunfish.
Along the hike you’ll learn local natural history and ecology from a long-time local with extensive educational and environmental experience. You may spot wildlife or tracks, enjoy edible native plants, identify mushrooms, or experience other one-of-a-kind surprises!
