Learn how to surf during your Hawaii vacation with a lesson at one of the best surf beaches on Maui. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, learn the basics and practice your skills in the gentle waves. Necessary equipment is provided.

What To Expect

CHECK-IN at Kalama Beach Park at our Surf Club Maui van, we will outfit you with reef shoes and a rash guard surf shirt. We start with a short land lesson to go over the safety and technique. Then our experienced coaches get into the water with you and help you catch waves. The water is warm, and the waves are usually gentle and the water is about waist to chest deep.

PLEASE BE PREPARED: Please arrive well rested, and be sure to hydrate and Drink plenty of water before your session.

THIS GROUP SURF CLASS IS FOR MIXED AGES 11 AND UP. If you have younger kids you must book a Private lesson, or a Semi-private family class. If you arrive with a child under 11 years old the lesson will be canceled and no refunds will be given. Thank you for your understanding.

*NOTE: Surf students must be able to swim in the ocean, if you show up for the class and can not swim or are not comfortable in deep water, the lesson will be canceled and no-refunds will be given.
