Get off the tourist track at the Grand Canyon thanks to this adventurous trek along the South Rim trail with naturalist guide. Travel 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) into this grand natural wonder, enjoying fantastic views and an included snack at a scenic picnic site. Finish your successful hike with an included lunch at Maswik Lodge back at the top.
Receive a morning pickup from your Sedona or Flagstaff hotel and transfer to the edge of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim Trail, stopping en route at Oak Creek Canyon for a rest stop.
Follow your naturalist guides down into this stunning natural gorge, formed by the simple power of water and erosion over millions of years. Along the way your guide will share details about the local area’s geology, plant and animal life, and history. After descending for 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) you’ll take a break for an included snack at a convenient picnic spot before beginning your ascent back to the canyon rim.
When you return, continue to the Maswik Lodge to enjoy an included, and well-deserved, lunch with your new hiking companions. You’ll transfer back to your hotel from there, stopping on the way back at the historic Cameron Trading Post.
