Long before it became popular by the Kennedy's and the home of high end retail and fashion, Georgetown was a working class port city predating the Federal City of Washington DC. Its roots are still very much alive and can be seen in the red brick town homes and turn of the century factories that are found throughout the area. We will finish up our journey by crossing the historic C&O canal and enjoying a sweet ending and drink from a bakery that originated as a printing house.
