Turns out your breakfast cereal has a pretty wild origin story. Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, one of the brothers behind Kellogg’s, open and ran the Battle Creek Sanitarium from 1875 to 1942. In this museum, you’ll see equipment the staff used, visit the historic Seventh-Day Adventist Village, and get a look at why Kellogg was called “The Most Honest Man in Town.”
Dr. John Harvey Kellogg operated the Battle Creek Sanitarium from 1875 to 1942. We have on display some of the original equipment he used for treatments in the Sanitarium. Than we will take you out into Historic Adventist Village. Some of the building we have onsite is a 1850’s Log Cabin, 1870’s one room school house, a replica of the 1855 Review and Herald Publishing house. The home of James and Ellen White lived in with all four of their boys.
