Aloha and welcome to Honolulu, the capital and only city of the island paradise of Hawaii, the last state to become part of the United States of America. Perfectly suited for discovery on foot, our self-guided audio tour allows you to set your own pace and explore at your leisure as you uncover the stories of this dynamic city. On this tour you will learn about Honolulu's history during World War Two and see sights such as the Aloha Tower, one of Hawaii's most recognisable landmarks, the famous King Kamehameha statue and the great Iolani Palace. Simply download our self-guided audio tour, plug in your headphones, open the map that comes with your download and head to the tour starting point. The tour will take approximately two hours, but you can pause the audio guide when needed. Grab a bite to eat or do some shopping along the way. Please note that this tour is currently only available in English.
The tour will take approximately two hours depending on your pace. Just pause the audio guide whenever you fancy spending longer at a sight, grabbing a bite to eat or doing some shopping along the way. Make your way to the Aloha Tower to begin your tour. There are many interesting sights to see on your journey through Honolulu. Here are just a few of them.
Highlight One: The Aloha Tower, the beginning point of your tour, is a lighthouse that is considered one of the landmarks of the state of Hawaii.
Highlight Two: Iolani Palace is a beautiful building where the Hawaiian royal family lived for 8 generations and is full of great artefacts.
HIghlight Three: The Hawaii State Art Museum is a very grand and majestic looking building with many gorgeous galleries.
Highlight Four: Built in the 1820s, the Mission House is the oldest standing structure on the island of Oahu.
This is just a taste of what you’ll experience on this tour but there are plenty more attractions and stories to be seen and heard along the way. The tour will conclude at the Foster Botanic Garden and Kuan Yin Temple.
