Creek Street, a historic boardwalk set on stilts along Ketchikan Creek in Ketchikan, Alaska, offers a glimpse into the past when it was a bustling Red Light District. Herring Cove is an excellent spot for wildlife viewing, especially black bears, during the right season. The prime time to visit is from mid-June to early September, when the salmon run attracts these magnificent animals.
