Paddle along the gorgeous shoreline of Flathead Lake Montana to Cedar Island. On the way, stop to view firsthand ancient Native American pictographs on the rocky cliff just off Angel Point. These are only visible only by boat, these pictographs were painted as early as the 1700s. NOTE: This is a NINE MILE paddle round trip. Upon reaching our destination, take a relaxing lunch break at the historic boat landing on Cedar Island and then visit the island's only homestead, circa the 1920s. Explore the 23-acre island, enjoying the most brilliant color and absolute clarity on Flathead Lake before paddling back to the original launch location.
The paddle there is intense. 3.5 miles each way, and It can take a while depending on weather. It is beautiful the whole way, and the crystal clear bright green water is picturesque. It is definitely worth it. The payoff is amazing.
