Here’s a bit about the mountain: Ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier stands as an icon in the Washington landscape, 68 miles from Seattle. An active volcano, Mount Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S.A., spawning five major rivers. Don’t worry about the “active volcano” bit, its been over 570 years since the mountain played with any lava.
