Explore the film and fiction highlights of New York City during a walking tour of Manhattan's historic Carnegie Hill neighborhood. A film critic guide whisks you around to the filming locations of numerous movies and the homes of celebrities, including Woody Allen, Truman Capote, and Robert Redford. This tour also visits Central Park, the Andrew Carnegie Mansion, the Jewish Museum, and the Church of Heavenly Rest.
The walking tour meets on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

I’ll describe the scenes filmed at each spot we come across while strolling through Carnegie Hill along 5th Avenue, Madison Avenue, and Park Avenue. “84 Charing Cross Road,” “Six Degrees of Separation,” “The House on 92nd Street,” “Ransom,” and “When Harry Met Sally” are just a few movie locations we’ll visit.

We’ll see the homes of such celebrities and literary figures as Ralph Lauren, Faye Dunaway, Anthony Bordain, Katie Couric, Stockard Channing, Madeline Kahn, J.D. Salinger, Truman Capote, Marlene Dietrich, Robert Redford, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and Mike Nichols.

You’ll be knocked out by the beautiful stained glass murals in The Church of Heavenly Rest where Keanu Reeves meets Charlize Theron in “The Devil’s Advocate.”
