Allegany County Courthouse

We start a tour of the Town on Day two with a Ride first to see the Allegany County Courthouse. The Courthouse is situated on the site of the old Fort Cumberland, overlooking the Potomac on one side and Wills Creek on the other.

Emmanuel Episcopal Church

Emmanuel Parish of the Episcopal Church dates back to 1803, foundations laid in 1849 and completed in 1851. Built on the foundations of Fort Cumberland (1755) in the historic district.
