Aside from the beauty of Lake Stella, getting away from the crowds of the mega parks in Orlando and Tampa is a real treat. It’s very pleasant paddling away from civilization enjoying nature, especially with a friend. There is plenty to do and see in the area. We have a nice cafe right on site if you are hungry afterwards. Take a break from the from the elbow bumping lines and enjoy a day on our spring fed lake 38 feet above sea level.
Lake Stella is a spring fed lake approximately 440 acres with 5 separate fingers and an island in the middle. If you choose to circumnavigate all the inlets you are looking at a total of five miles. There is a bird sanctuary, public beach some cool old houses and the remains of orange groves that the area was once known for. Plenty of bass populate the lake and occasionally you’ll spot an Osprey or Eagle snagging a meal right from the surface. This is a very nice location especially for folks just starting out kayaking.
