Enjoy a walking guided tour of the grounds of George Washington's Mount Vernon! We can pick you up from your hotel, museum, point of interest within the pick up radius, just let us know! We then depart together to Mount Vernon where we will drive by Old town Alexandria before arriving to the estate. We will enter the private grounds together, entering the Texas gate, to then continue through the Ford Orientation Center, have a guided tour of the interior of Washington's Mansion, visit the new room which is the grandest space in the house, the Little Parlor, Washington's private study, Lafayette Room and so much more! We will then exit and visit Washington' and Martha Washington's gardens (Upper garden and green house), visit the original out buildings, enslaved quarters, slave memorial, Washington's tomb and much more!
A historic district along the Potomac, Old Town is marked by cobblestone streets and 18th-century townhouses. George Washington slept at Gadsby’s Tavern, one of the many small museums in the area.
