After meeting at the public boat launch, you'll enjoy a leisurely day paddling around on Lake Tarleton, with views of the majestic White Mountains in the background. Mt. Moosilauke, on of the famous 4000-footers of the White Mountains, features prominently on the horizon. Our experienced guides, each of whom are local experts and avid outdoorsmen, are also certified in the principles of "Leave No Trace," a wilderness philosophy aimed at protecting the world's most beautiful places from damage due to improper and irresponsible use. Ask them about the natural and human history of the region, and they'll be happy to tell you some stories.
Enjoy a leisurely, 4-5 hour paddle around Lake Tarleton. Lake Tarleton is a naturally occurring lake, though the water level is raised several feet by a man-made dam. During the 1990s and early 2000s, public action saved the land surrounding the lake from development, and it is now almost entirely protected as public lands, either as part of Lake Tarleton State Park, or the White Mountain National Forest.
