With over 1 million monthly visitors in the high season, escaping Yellowstone’s crowds can be a task—but not on this tour. Take a Twilight Paddle along the northwestern shores of Yellowstone Lake, the largest alpine lake on the continent, experiencing true serenity in this geothermal wilderness. Watching steam rise above the nearest geyser basin as the sun sets, you’ll understand why Yellowstone deserves the title of world’s first national park.
Our Twilight Tour is a 4 to 5 mile journey and usually takes about 3 hours. After a brief orientation with your guide, the group will paddle along the shore of Yellowstone Lake, North America’s Largest High Alpine Lake! Depending on weather conditions and the group ability, our guides will safely escort the group to West Thumb Geyser Basin. After touring the Geyser Basin, where dozens of geothermal features are visible above and below the water’s surface, we will return along the same route, stopping for refreshment and a chance to explore along the shore of the lake, arriving back at our Launch Point in Grant Marina before the sun sets. Return time may vary depending on group size, weather, fitness, and of course the time the sunsets.
