Experience Alaska as it was meant to be experienced: rough and wild. During this 3-hour ATV adventure from, pilot your own all-terrain vehicle through the Alaskan tundra to get deep into the backcountry. Stop for photos and views of spectacular scenery, including views from Black Diamond Peak and a course through the Dry Creek Riverbed. Round-trip transportation from Healy hotels and use of all equipment are included.
After pickup from Healy-area hotels, travel to the tour's starting point and listen to a safety training and information course. Learn all the functions of your ATV and make sure you are completely comfortable piloting your own vehicle before taking off into the wilderness. You'll be outfitted with gloves, goggles, a helmet and rain gear if necessary. Alternatively, you are welcome to ride with one of our guides if you'd rather not drive your own vehicle.
Travel down old coal mining trails that empty out onto the Dry Creek River Bed, the site of many archaeological digs uncovering Athabascan Indian artifacts. View abandoned cabin dating from the times of the pioneers. Zoom up Black Diamond Peak, which boasts sweeping views of the entire Healy Valley. Keep your eye out for local wildlife and stop for photo opportunities any time you like.
Return to your Healy hotel for drop-off at the end of your wild, rough Alaskan adventure.
