Please join a certified guide for an adventure in ecotherapy! Forest bathing is about spending intentional time with nature. Taking a forest bathing tour with a guide can offer a myriad of benefits. The session begins with a meditation designed to open your senses, followed by short, mindful walks partnered with invitations to explore nature in multiple ways. We end with a tea ceremony. Participants report entering a deep state of relaxation. Forest bathing is often with friends and/or family. Many people report a feeling of connection ‘ not just with the natural world but also with each other. If you are looking for a meditative and relaxing experience that can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, improve your immune system and overall well-being, forest bathing is for you! It can be enjoyed by people of all ages, mobilities and fitness levels. Let me know if you would like this experience on a date and time not listed. I have a flexible schedule and can likely accommodate you.
A forest bathing session is a two-hour, guided program designed to encourage mindfulness and facilitate the participant’s deep connection with nature. You will be invited to awaken your senses, slow down, and make a deep connection with the forest. Forest therapy, forest bathing, forest immersion and shinrin-yoku (Japanese for “forest bathing”) are words used interchangeably for the same thing – a practice that supports health and wellness through immersion in the forest.
This is a wonderful group activity for the whole family! Children of all ages, parents and grandparents are welcome. Every experience is personal and unique and does not require any equipment or special skills. The only physical requirement is that participants are able to walk for approximately one mile on a trail with uneven terrain (with breaks along the way) and some inclines. Please let me know if someone in your group has mobility issues as this experience can be adapted on an accessible trail.
