One of the most enjoyable aspects of riding a horse is the bond that is created between humans and equines. Offering our customers the opportunity to get to know their horse by grooming and brushing and dressing them, helps to develop this bond. By the time we head out for our ride, our customers have developed an emotional relationship with their horse which results in an uplifting experience. This is a unique experience and it is more and more difficult to find someplace where you can interact with horses, learn a whole lot and have an amazing ride and adventure.

What To Expect

For those who are looking for a true hands on horse adventure. You will learn and do everything associated with preparing your horse for our trail ride including catching them in the pasture, grooming and brushing them and dressing them. We will teach you about what is involved in general horse care as well teach you a little bit about what amazing animals horses are.

Once the horses are properly dressed and following a mini lesson, we will head out for an hour horseback tour of the Shenandoah Valley. During your ride you will be able to take in breathtaking views of Appalachian and Allegany Mountains we then drop down to Walkers Creek before heading up our ancient holler toward home.

Following the ride, we will teach you how to undress the horses and turn them out into the pasture. For those who are interested, we will give you a tour of our historic homestead which dates back to the 1850’s.
