I am an avid runner who has been hitting the pavement and paths of Central Park for the past two decades. It is my favorite part of the city and my backyard. I wouldn't want to live here without it. Join me on my running tour and I will show you some of the most beautiful, magical, and restorative parts of the park that most visitors to the city don't get to see. Learn some history, say hello to where the neighborhood of Harlem begins, enjoy some nature, see some waterfalls. Come and explore the top of the park with me!
Come and run the beautiful Northern end of Central Park and learn about its history and sites along the way. It is a part of the park that is not often visited by tourists but is what many New Yorkers consider their "backyard." Some of the points of interest that you will see on your tour include:
Meet at 82nd St. and Central Park West
Belvedere Castle and Shakespeare's Garden
Great Lawn
Jacqueline Onassis Reservoir
Nutter's Battery
Conservatory Garden
Duke Ellington Circle
Harlem Meer
Frederick Douglass Circle
The North Woods
Blockhouse
Waterfalls of the Ravine
End near The Pool at 100th St. and Central Park West
